L.A.’s legendary DJ Richard Blade celebrates the release of his new autobiography, World In My Eyes, with a book signing at MADE, on Thursday, December 21st at 6pm!

Everyone is welcome, we will have his book for sale and pre-sale at the store and on our website.

Richard will be signing books, taking photos and sharing some stories with attendees.

Richard Blade’s autobiography is much more than a spotlight on any one decade. Instead, he gives you a jaw-dropping, uncensored insider’s look into the world of music, movies, and television and its biggest stars, starting in the sixties and continuing through to the new century.

Richard takes you on a journey that few have experienced: from his early days as a student at Oxford to the wild, lascivious nights of being a disco DJ touring the clubs of Europe, to coming to America and working with Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand, and Sarah Jessica Parker and finally breaking through into the L.A. radio scene and becoming the number one morning drive personality in California.

From his TV and radio shows to his feature films and live gigs, Richard shares stories that have until now remained secret. His unique perspective will take you on the road with Depeche Mode, to Australia with Spandau Ballet, into the recording studio with Morrissey, and onto the main stage at Live Aid with Duran Duran. He opens up about his friendships with Michael Hutchence and George Michael, as well as his passionate love affair with Terri Nunn of Berlin.

This is a no-holds-barred look at life, sex, and death, set to a pulsing backbeat of music. For the first time, Richard Blade shares his extraordinary story, allowing us to see the world through his eyes.

“He is as important to New Wave music as Benjamin Franklin was to kites.” – Jimmy Kimmel

Richard Blade is one of the most popular DJs and entertainers in America. He was born in England and educated at Oxford, and came to the United States in 1976. In the 1980s he was the top-rated morning drive DJ on KROQ, Los Angeles, and the host and director of multiple TV shows including Video One, MV3, and VideoBeat.

He has won many awards, including The Golden Microphone, California’s Best DJ and the ADJA Lifetime Achievement Award, and has appeared in numerous feature films and network series. He has also written and produced shows and films for Paramount, Lifetime, and VH1. Richard, who lives in L.A. with his wife, Krista, and their two dogs and a cat, travels extensively as he continues to DJ live around the world and hosts his daily radio shows on SiriusXM and KCBS.
