Come join us to see this rock and roll art and photography show out with a bang. Live music from 16 Again will put this party into high gear. Be sure to bring those gift cards and Christmas cash Grandma sent you because we’ll still have gig posters, merch, photo prints and paintings for sale. Not to mention, the artists will be hanging out and if you want to book a photo shoot, or commission a painting now’s the time to hit them up in person!

Free admission and all ages and all are welcome. Plenty of parking and places to eat and grab a drink before or after the party so make it your Friday night plans….or you can sit on the 405 on a Friday night, totally up to you. 😉

How Punk Rock Made Us: Story Telling and Book Signing Event

Join us for our monthly story telling event! This month we celebrate the publication of We Were Going to Change the World: Interviews with Women from the 1970s and 1980s Southern California Punk Rock Scene with the author Stacy Russo and several women featured in the book. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.

Featured Speakers
Stacy Russo, professor and librarian at Santa Ana College, is a writer, artist, poet, and love activist. She grew up in the Southern California punk rock scene of the 1980s, which has been a big influence on her life. Stacy takes her coffee black and likes to nap at the ocean.

Cate Garcia was born in Torrance, California. She was blown away when she saw the Go-Go’s perform at the Whisky at age sixteen. She didn't fit in, but knew she wanted to. She currently
owns a pet grooming salon in San Pedro.

D.D. Wood is a writer and teacher for the Long Beach Unified School District. Formerly a solo recording artist with Hollywood Records, she is currently the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for
Gypsy Trash.

Laura Beth Bachman lives in Downtown Long Beach with her partner, Matt Irwin. She is the drummer for the all girl surf/punk band The Neptunas. Laura is a truth seeker and beat keeper
who believes it takes grit to be a woman in this world.

Melanie B was born in Ft. Gordon, Georgia. She was raised in Huntington Beach and grew up going to shows at Fender’s in Long Beach. Melanie is currently a hairstylist, a vegan athlete, and
a devoted wife and mom.

If you like The Moth, This American Life, Snap Judgement, Serial …or just love authentic storytelling, this is the place for you. Always free to attend, always an open mic story telling slot at the end for you to tell one of your stories and always a full bar … to get you loosened up and hydrated. Table seating and standing room. All ages.

Free 2 hour parking is located in the public parking lot on 3rd just before Pine Ave.
