Elinor presents
Austin-based singer/songwriter JEAN CAFFEINE
Long Beach singer/songwriter Alyssandra Nighswonger
Friday, December 27th - 9:00pm

JEAN CAFFEINE has had more lives than a cat! In the 1970s, she was a first-wave punk drummer in San Francisco. In the 1980s, she moved to NYC, where she DJed at Danceteria and joined the legendary band Pulsallama; then moved to Austin, where she fronted the alt-country band All-Nite Truckstop and participated in the making of Richard Linklater's "Waking Life" and "Slacker" films. In 2017, Jean released Sadie Saturday Nite, a concept album about coming of age in the first punk scene. This year, she released a four-song EP, "Love. What Is It?," inspired by crushes on other human beings and a fondness for cats. Anyone with a mutual interest in punk, power-pop, and alt-country will find something to like about JEAN CAFFEINE's music.
