Who Should Apply to be Featured?
This open mic is about empowerment. It will be a woman-focused, feminist, LGBTQ+ friendly space. We are here to connect, to contribute to a tapestry of community, to listen with our hearts and to elevate those who bravely step onto the stage and share their art with us, whether it is their first time, or they are a seasoned performer. We want this to be your church. The world needs your unique voice.
Please email Melissa Lussier at email@example.com with a short bio and link to your work if you are interested in being a feature. All creative expressions and gender expressions are welcome, as well as all types of performance and creative art.
How Often Does it Occur?
Every first Tuesday of the month!
What is Elinor?
“An uncommon drinkery for common people.” Elinor is located in the back of Made By Millworks, an airy showroom featuring clothing, jewelry, home decor items & more made by local designers. Elinor Drinkery was opened in downtown Long Beach as a way to pay homage to Elinor Otto. Elinor, who became a centenarian on October 28, is known as the "Last Rosie the Riveter," or the "Longest-working Rosie the Riveter." It was very important to Owner Michelle Molina and General Manager Heather Kern that Elinor represent barrier-breaking women, which is why a “We Can Do It!” open mic is so fitting, both literally and figuratively, in this amazing space!
Where is Elinor?
Elinor is located behind and attached to MADE by Millworks with an alley entrance located at 250 North Tribune Court or through MADE at 240 Pine Avenue. 2 hour free parking is located at the public parking structure on 3rd street (just across the alley) behind Harvey Milk Plaza.
We can’t wait to see you!
