We're celebrating Elinor Otto, AKA the Longest Working Rosie the Riveter, for her 100th birthday on Saturday October 12th. We're inviting the public to submit Rosie the Riveter art work for a group show that will also open on October 12th. On October 12th, Elinor Otto, America’s longest working Rosie the Riveter, will celebrate her 100th birthday at Elinor Drinkery! The festivities will include an appearance by Elinor, live music by the Jazz Baker Band, and a Rosie the Riveter inspired group art exhibition. Earlier this year on National Rosie the Riveter Day, we opened the doors to our "uncommon drinkery for common people" not just as an homage to barrier-breaking women, but also to our local history. Elinor spent fifty years of her storied aviation career working production lines in Long Beach while assembling Boeing’s C-17 Globemaster III cargo planes...

Elinor is an original Rosie the Riveter who started working in 1942 just after Pearl Harbor. She worked from 1942 to 2014 spending 50 of her 70 year career in Long Beach at both Douglas and Boeing.
