Happy October! This October we have a lot of exciting happenings to share with you. First, this month we will celebrating the 100th Birthday of a barrier breaking woman. Elinor Otto will be joining us at her namesake bar on October 12 for her birthday party – RSVPs are highly encouraged. As part of her birthday celebration we are looking for Rosie the Riveter themed art submissions for a show, so if you or a friend have a piece you’ve produced and would like to participate, please send us a submission to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, this month MADE will be hosting CANstruction - an event where teams compete to build the coolest themed structures out of full food cans where all of the food then gets donated to families in need. Building begins October 10 and the structures will be on display through the 20th. Any and all canned food donations are much appreciated, will likely make it into one of the structures, and will then make it to family in need. Bring your 14oz cans any time during MADE business hours.
