by Pin Tiki
One of the earliest mugs photographed at the height of the 60’s Tiki craze in the U.S. was the “Husband Killer”. Immortalized in an August 1960 issue of Life magazine, the mug is named after a drink on The Islander restaurant’s menu in Los Angeles. Under the “Strong” drink category, it cost $2.25, and must have been really deadly! The mug was produced by Spurlin ceramics and design by Stella Bodey.
