About Cara Mullio and the University Art Museum
The University Art Museum at California State University, Long Beach takes a broad approach to what it means to be a contemporary art museum. the museum has a distinguished history of presenting projects with a focus on architecture and design, as well as the visual arts.
Cara Mullio is a freelance curator and writer based in Southern California. As the former director of the MAK Center at the Schindler House, West Hollywood, Mullio curated the exhibition TRESPASSING: House x Artists. Prior to that she worked on projects at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, including the exhibition At the End of the Century: One Hundred Years of Architecture and the lecture series French Architects in the 1990's: The Production of Public Space. Currently she is researching an exhibition on the renderer Hugh Ferriss. She holds a Master of Arts in Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles.
